After a tragic crisis during the COVID lockdown, Peace Himalaya has been walking closely with this Tamang community to rebuild hope and livelihoods.
Today, we provide ongoing technical assistance to help the village thrive through:
- Homestay management and improvement
- Small enterprise development (local products, household industries)
- Ecological and climate-resilient agricultural practices
- Eco-tourism activities including homestays, hiking routes, nature experiences
- Hosting college students for social work placements
- Youth camps and social analysis sessions for community awareness
- Community organisation & leadership strengthening
This vibrant community, surrounded by scenic landscapes, is gradually becoming a hub for eco-tourism, sustainable farming, and youth engagement.
